Rain Rain go AWAY!

It has rained and rained for what seems like forever. This is no fun for me, the kids and especially Remi. Our yard floods, thus not allowing him to roam free. Not to mention the fact that Mr G has already removed the deck, leaving a HUGE mud pit. This would be great if we had pigs but Remi is not allowed to roll in mud than enter my house! So please RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY!!!!!  Or Cement company come today!!!

Garage Clean up

Every spring and fall I like to clean out the garage. Well this season was no different except for the rain had delayed it about a month. The PLAN is too move a few things around and make a permanent spot for the fridge and my new cake photo studio. I need a place to allow for natural light to capture the pictures of the cakes I create! So I started to project but because Frank was busy with removing the deck, I could only get so far without pulling my back out!

There is NOTHING I love more than having a place for everything and everything in it's place!

PRIVACY!

Those of you have been to our home know we have a funky lay out.  Not only do you have to go through my bed room to go into back yard, we have a beautiful door wall in our room. YES, it does make lots of natural light into the room and YES it does provide a wonderful breeze for this time of year but it also provides NO PRIVACY while laying in be relaxing. I had curtains but last fall I removed them because they were awful looking from the sun and water damage. I have been so busy with my cake business and no motivation to sew. THANKFULLY I have a friend Sarah R. who is very into sewing right now and took on the 5 panel challenge!!

I can now say, I can lay in bed and watch TV and not worry who is watching me!

Back Yard Make Over 2011

Even though the kitchen still needs molding and 2 closet doors and I still haven’t calculated the total restyle cost, we have started on the Back yard makeover 2o11. I do have “before” pictures but I am waiting for the “after” then I’ll post. In the meantime, if your feeling ambitious stop by with a shovel and we’ll put you to work!

Check back (fingers crossed) THIS project will be finished by 4th of July.

A fashion Piece or a Holy Symbol

First, I am not Catholic. But I do have issues with this new fashion trend. I have spotted a few members of the next generation sporting a Holy Rosary in bars, malls and other random places. Maybe I am missing the point and PLEASE enlighten me if I am. But shouldn’t a Rosary be a Holy Symbol used for payer, not used for picking up chicks for a one night stand in a bar? I also find it amusing that this same generation has opinions galore yet, they don’t want to STAND and make a change.  Maybe if they removed themselves from their I phones and learned what others, who have lived and have a story to tell have to say, they would learn a thing or two!

By the way….. For those of you sporting the Rosary as a fashion piece I sure hope you know how to use it. Incase you don’t….. Here’s a great starting point!
