Boy Cave….

aka toy room.

our toy room got a mommy approved makeover. The boys have really started to enjoy it down there, so we cleared out all the “baby” toys, broken, mismatched toys and got ride of the “old fashion” TV.

AS you can see Remi also enjoys the boy cave.

Nikolas has tried to convince me (even though I know better) that a apple seed from a apple will grow a tree. I have tried this before and it has never worked, if you know the secret please share. Anyway, after a few weeks and failing, I bought him and Carter little starter kits, 2 tomatoes, 1 sunflower and 1 cucumber kit. Fingers crossed, we will have a potted garden this summer, for them to tend to!

Don’t touch the Shark….

Me: Come on guys it’s bath time.

Nikolas: Hey Cart want to play don’t touch the shark game in the bath again.

Carter: Yea I like that game and I won’t touch the shark this time.

(Thankfully I know the “shark” is a toy and they try to avoid it while it floats!)

I put that new Nikon P500 to use today and snapped a few pictures. Leave some love and let me know what you think.

 

I also took some advice from Dr Frank Kendralla and although this was a quick make-shift studio (on my kitchen table) the plan is a “studio” in the garage to photograph my cakes. Don’t get too excited, I have NO plans to ever photograph people. I love nature (bugs) and cakes! Weird combo, I know… but have you meet me?!?

Happy Birthday Bub!

My #1 lovie, Mr Frankie G turned… dare I say….32 this past week.  We celebrated with the family and enjoyed some Lebanese food. This is reason # 1003 I love my kids as they enjoyed some Kibbeh nayyeh.

Frank got a “new” lawnmower….

and of course we enjoyed cake!

(I assembled this cake in 2 hours. It was a last minute thought, not bad, just wished I would have had more time)

Justin Bieber, give me one more chance

Every year after their 1st birthday my mom takes each grandchild on their birthday to Toys R Us. It’s a huge free for all and the kids get to pick whatever they want. Carter picked several Lego sets, a water gun, a bubble maker and a Justin Bieber Doll. I was beyond excited about this as, YES even at 31, I have BIEBER FEVER!

Well in true “G” fashion the clothes came off…. And he asked for one more chance.

Happy Birthday Monkey!

My little monkey turned 3 and it was a bittersweet day. It is so nice to realize I no longer have diapers, bottles, cribs, sippy cups or anything baby in this house. (besides Remi) But at the same time I have no babies in this house. 3 years has gone by so fast, and I just wish time would slow down!

Carter, you are my healing baby and I am FOREVER grateful to the you for the journey we went on after your birth. I love you and can’t  wait to see the person you turn into!

I finally got a new camera… but not just any plan point and shoot camera, I got a fancy Nikon P500….

just a sample of what’s to come….  with 12.1 megapixels and a whopping 36x (wide zoom), pictures in our house will never look better!!!!

A little more to love….

Remi is a perfect match for us…. he is a little ADD, loves trouble, tends to get want he wants, very silly, loves being in the yard and is SUPER cute!

He is a chewer and needs a few manners so he will start “school” on Friday and I know (because he is like us) he the needs structure.  However, after two weeks here he has NOT gone potty in the house!!!!

Too prove how much he loves to chew….. we have had to create the habit of picking up all of the boys toys as a few have missing hands and  remember the new monkey Louie bought him, well he along with blue dog and puppy have had “surgery”.

He is getting along much better with Mizti, she has learned to put him in his place! ;-) and  has just about learned his new name and even knows we mean business when we use his full name (Remington Versa Max Guzzo) We will return to Almost Home-No Kill Shelter this week and he will officially be ours!!!
